Le monastère d'Ostrog est situé entre les villes de Danivlograd et Niksic, à une quarantaine de kilomètres de la capitale du Monténégro, Podgorica.. Il se trouve perché à 900m d'altitude. Le monument est imbriqué dans une falaise du Mont Ostrog.
